2021 is a very special year for BlueOrchard as we celebrate our 20th anniversary. Throughout 2021 we will be sharing with you some of the encouraging entrepreneurial stories, personal dreams, and insights into the lives of families around the globe who are struggling and fighting against adversity every single day.

Our tenth story is about Vladimer Qarqashadze from Georgia.

Vladimer Qarqashadze is a multi-entrepreneur, who has developed a number of diverse business lines with various friends and members of his family, which he runs out of his home in Kutaisi. From crafting leather handbags to wine making and running a small guesthouse, he is active across a number of sectors.

Vladimer, can you talk a bit about what you do?

My brother and I work together on creating handmade bags using fine leather and wood – we have a brand called Khilindari, which can be found in various shops in Georgia as well as online. My family also helped me to build two cottages, which we rent out to tourists visiting Georgia. And finally, we  make and sell wine from the grapes grown on vines in our property.
