#This is my story:  “my name is Keo Serei and I run a grocery store in Phsar Trach, Cambodia. I’ve never been very confident about the microfinance industry. I was scared it would cause over-indebtedness. However, my husband saw a big opportunity in getting a loan and took up his first loan in 2004. He started off with selling only drinking water, but thanks to the loan our family meanwhile owns a thriving grocery store. My husband started as a one-man-shop and by now he’s employing four people. The success of our grocery store even allowed us to buy a house, two cars and a truck. And we were able to send our kids to school, which makes me very happy. Today I’m not afraid of taking up a loan anymore, because I know how much it has helped us.“
