Besides sharing what she enjoys most working at BlueOrchard, she also talks about what her passion is besides work.
Lucia, why did you decide to work in impact investing, and in particular at BlueOrchard?
After more than ten years working in the traditional finance sector, I decided to work in an industry that shares the ambition of seeking a combination of social and environmental impact with a positive financial return. I strongly believe that the social impact space and its mission is key to achieve long-term sustainability for all institutions. I was very happy to join BlueOrchard as I felt my values matched with the values of the company, being a pioneer in the impact investing industry.
What do you enjoy most working at BlueOrchard?
What I enjoy about BlueOrchard is that its values are driven by the social impact mission, and I feel that the teams I work with share these same values too. Also, I love working in a team of professionals from all over the world and in a multicultural environment that promotes diversity and inclusion. Ultimately, what motivates me at my job is knowing that my work has a positive impact in people’s lives.
Lastly, what is your passion besides work?
Besides work, I love travelling and connecting with people. I love learning about people’s experiences and diverse backgrounds and interests.
