This week, we had the pleasure of speaking with Alessandra Nibbio Bonnet, Head of Blended Finance, based in Luxembourg.

  • Alessandra, What do you like most about working at BlueOrchard?

“What I appreciate most about BlueOrchard is its entrepreneurial culture. The scope for contributing to the company’s objectives is virtually limitless and largely determined by one’s own initiative. There are abundant opportunities to assume diverse roles, acquire new skills, and create meaningful impact. Having been with BlueOrchard for over seven years, I can confidently say that I never had a dull moment!”

  • Who inspires you the most, and why?

“I actively seek inspiration from those around me – my colleagues, family, and friends. I believe that the individuals within our immediate circles possess a wealth of knowledge and experience from which we can greatly benefit. In my view, it is not always necessary to look to “big names” for inspiration, as the guidance and example provided by those closest to us can be equally, if not more, profound and influential.“

  • What does “impact” mean to you on a personal level?

“Demonstrate kindness and respect in every interaction, treating others as you wish to be treated yourself. This fundamental principle not only fosters a positive environment but also serves as one of the most effective ways to create meaningful and lasting impact.”

  • If you could describe your experience at BlueOrchard in three words, what would they be?

“Blended. Exciting. Enriching.”

  • What is the best advice you have ever received?

“Always leave space to everyone in the room to speak up. It is imperative to intentionally create space for every individual to share their perspective. As we all possess distinct personalities, it is important to foster an environment where everyone feels empowered to express themselves authentically and to be recognised for their unique strengths. By enabling others to contribute and flourish, we collectively elevate the quality and impact of our work.”

  • Could you share some of your passions outside your work?

“I love music, any kind, and movies, any kind! Concerts and cinemas are my escape spaces.”
