This week, we had the pleasure of speaking with Patricia Jelk, Head of Finance, based in Switzerland.
- Patricia, what do you like most about working at BlueOrchard?
“What I like most is being part of a large group while still growing within a human-sized, multicultural organization. It allows us to get to know each other better, appreciate one another and come together around shared values.“
- If you could describe your experience at BlueOrchard in three words, what would they be?
“Innovative, purpose-driven, inspiring.”
- What does “impact” mean to you on a personal level?
“Impact to me means leaving things better than I found them. Whether that is improving a process, supporting a team or helping someone grow. It is not only about big and visible results. It is about making meaningful, lasting contributions that build trust and create positive change over time.“
- Is there a piece of advice that has really stayed with you?
“The best advice I have received is to cultivate genuine open‑mindedness and the tolerance required to accept that disagreements may occur without calling into question the other person’s value or the quality of the relationship. Taking the time to consider another person’s perspective can broaden your own and strengthen both collaboration and personal growth.”
- Who inspires you the most, and why?
“I am most inspired by people who combine a drive to grow with genuine humility: those who stay curious, take ownership and lift others up along the way. To me, that blend of ambition and humility creates the kind of impact that is rooted in both performance and integrity.”
Thank you, Patricia!
