- Age: at least 3 years in existence.
- Minimum total assets: USD 10,000,000.
- Externally audited accounts.
- External rating.
- Primary business: microfinance.
- Sustainability: operational self-sufficiency or a good vision on how to reach it.
- Governance and management: sound corporate governance and dynamic management team.
