Peter A. FanconiChairman of the Board
Peter A. Fanconi is the Chairman and former CEO of BlueOrchard. Prior to this, Peter demonstrated his entrepreneurial competencies in various positions, including CEO of the Vontobel Private Bank, a Swiss listed bank and CEO of Harcourt Investment, a global leader in alternative investments. Peter’s previous roles include Managing Partner at PwC, Managing Partner and Founder of MAP AG, Member of the Board of the Liechtenstein Landesbank (LLB). Peter holds a Master of Law from the University of Zurich.
Peter serves today as Chairman of the Graubündner Kantonalbank (GKB), a Swiss listed bank, as President of ROKPA International Foundation and as Member of the Global Executive Council of the Brandeis University Business School in Boston.
Ernst BruggerVice Chairman of the Board
Prof. Ernst A. Brugger has been a consultant to businesses and institutions in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia for 25 years. From 1986 to 1996, he was managing director and delegate of the board of directors of FUNDES (Fundacion para el desarrollo sostenible), a private institution with the initiative to promote small enterprises in Latin America. Today he is the vice chairman of the Board of Directors of BlueOrchard, the chairman of the board of directors of SV Group AG and Precious Woods Holding. He is a honorary member of the Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and a professor at the University of Zurich.
Naïm Abou-JaoudéMember of the Board
Naïm Abou-Jaoudé is Chief Executive Officer of Candriam Investors Group since 2007 and was appointed Chairman of New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) International in September 2015. He joined Candriam (formerly Dexia Asset Management) in 1996 where he was a member of the Executive Committee, responsible for Alternative Investments, until the end of 2006 before he rose to his appointment of chief executive officer in January 2007. He became a Vice Chairman of NYLIM International in February 2014 when Candriam was acquired by New York Life, one of the world’s largest insurance companies in the world. Previously, he was a member of the Management Board and responsible for the Investment Management and Derivatives department at UBS Asset Management France and Alfi Gestion. Mr. Abou-Jaoudé started his career as a partner at Transoptions Finance (subsidiary of Crédit Agricole). He is a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (IEP-Sciences Po) and holds a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from Université Paris II – Panthéon Assas.
Boris F. J. CollardiMember of the Board
Boris F. J. Collardi has been Chief Executive Officer of Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd. and Julius Baer Group Ltd since 2009. He joined Bank Julius Baer as Chief Operating Officer following Julius Baer’s acquisition of three private banks and GAM. Boris played a decisive role in the swift and successful integration of these banks and the subsequent positioning of Julius Baer as one of the premier addresses in global wealth management. Prior to that, Boris gained extensive leadership experience during his 12 years at Credit Suisse both in Europe and Asia. Boris also serves on the board of various foundations, association and academic institutions worldwide.
Melchior de MuraltMember of the Board
Melchior de Muralt is a managing partner of Pury Pictet Turrettini & Cie. S.A. (PPT), a prominent independent asset management firm based in Geneva. PPT is a pioneer in the socially responsible investment area. Melchior is also a senior executive of Madison Management A.G., a company specialized in family firm buy-outs, and President of Cadmos Fund Management. He is a member of the International Committee of the Red Cross. Melchior holds a PhD in Political Sciences from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
Omar S. QandeelMember of the Board
Omar S. Qandeel is specialized in project development and consulting for European and Asian corporations doing business in the Middle East and North Africa. Omar developed manufacturing and distribution projects for European corporations in the food and packing industry looking to expand their operations to the Middle East. Early in his career, he was involved in various research work in the public and private sectors. Omar holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Science Degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Southern California.
